Claudia has been practising yoga for over 15 years and loves how the practice supports her sense of well-being.
Whilst being inspired by a number of different yoga traditions, Claudia’s main influence over the last 5 years has been the teachings of the late Vanda Scaravelli.
This gentle and mindful approach to yoga focuses on locating and releasing unnecessary tension, finding a more natural, easeful way of moving, which is more fluid and full of vitality. Exploring how gravity can aid in relaxing the body further whilst staying light in body and breath.
In this way, the quality and felt sense of the movement becomes more important than the yoga posture itself.
Claudia’s classes are suitable for anyone, regardless of ability or previous experience.
Claudia is grateful to her teacher Ian Davis for encouraging her to start teaching in 2017 by sharing what she knows and what she is passionate about. A student for life, Claudia continues to study with Scaravelli inspired teachers like Bill Wood, Caroline Reid, Sandra Sabatini, John Stirk and the person that created the spark in her for this way of working with the body, Diane Long.
