Introduction to Ayurveda Workshop
Ayurveda means 'knowledge of life' and is an ancient Indian tradition that encompasses many aspects in assisting the holistic maintenance of the body. Yoga is an important arm of Ayurveda but so is the individual's constitution, diet, yoga practice, self care routine, gut health and the seasons.
During this theory and practice based workshop introducing the key elements of Ayurveda, Bertie will identify your dosha or doshas (bio-elements that make up your constitution) helping you to identify how this may affect what you eat and the type of yoga practice that will optimise your overall health.
Saturday 12th October
Bertie Jesson has been teaching Yoga for 13 years. She has been interested in Ayurveda for many years and this lead to her completing the BWY Ayurveda Teaching module she has incorporated the principles into her own diet, yoga practice and lifestyle.
Bertie trains students to become Yoga teachers in Oxford and London as a BWY DCT( Diploma Course Tutor). She is also a BWY FCT (Foundation Course Tutor) and teaches self development courses.
