Meditation for Beginners

Mondays for 6 weeks, starting Monday 9th September
6pm (50 minutes)

Meditation is a great way to find some stillness, focus and peace of mind.

Often we feel as though we go about our days as if we’re running a race, with a busy head full of things to do and sort.

This is a six week course because it takes time and regular practice to feel the benefits, which include helping with anxiety and depression, reconnecting you with your life, helping you to find your place in the world and treat yourself kindly.

This course is for complete beginners or those that have concluded that “I can’t meditate and that’s that”.

This is a great opportunity to find out what benefits meditation can have for you.


Each session will include instruction and short practice sessions, with optional discussion and Q+A.

You can sit on a stool or the floor, whichever you’d find more comfortable.

Each session will be standalone but over the 6 week course we’ll build up a bigger picture.

We'll offer a range of ways to support your practice between sessions, using guided meditations and other resources.


WEEK 1 : Introduction, mindfulness as an approach to difficulties, mindfulness in daily life.

WEEK 2 : Mindfulness of body, working with difficult emotions, forgiveness.

WEEK 3 : Open-hearted relationships, kindness and compassion, gratitude.

WEEK 4 : Who am I? Roles, self-concepts, liberating ways of looking.

WEEK 5 : Focus, stability and inner well-being.

WEEK 6 : Timelessness, just being, acceptance. Bringing it all together to support your on-going practice.

£50 for the 6 week course, including access to recorded meditations to use at home.
