Julia has practised yoga for 10 years and has taught in Cheltenham and Gloucester for 8 years.
Julia started her yoga journey by using Ashtanga yoga to enhance her climbing technique and ability and very quickly fell in love with its philosophy and the wider benefits for her heart and mind.
She completed a short intensive training course with David Swenson in 2011. And then, to enhance her depth of knowledge, Julia followed in Ian Davis's footsteps to complete her 200hr teacher training with YogaCampus in London in 2012.
She then taught morning and evening Vinyasa classes with a distinct emphasis on integrating the body and mind through carefully planned sequences firmly grounded in ancient yogic wisdom and with a specific focus on compassion, balance and calm.
She’s currently undertaking her 500 hour advanced teacher training with Ian Davis. Julia is also a clinical psychologist and uses Compassion focused therapy in her work, which is grounded in Buddhist ideas of harmony, compassion and wellbeing.
